Township Government

Township government is local government close to the people, townships provide several important services directly to residents and help address community needs at the local level.

Key responsibilities can include:

Fire protection and Emergency services
Township assistance for residents experiencing financial hardship
Parks, Cemeteries and Public facilities
Community services and Neighborhood needs
Budgeting and Financial stewardship
Addressing noxious vegetation and certain property concerns
Listening to residents and Responding to community needs

It is where neighbors can be heard, families can find support and community needs become personal. For me, township government is about showing up, listening, caring and following through. A strong township government understands the people it serves and works to make sure residents feel seen, heard and supported. That is the kind of leadership I believe in rooted in community, guided by care and committed to serving our neighbors.
